French dip was incredible

LOVED this great new spot in the French Quarter. Ate here several times during our weekend visit. Great service, great staff, excellent food with really affordable prices. Will come here every time I’m in town. Please spread the word so this excellent new business can thrive! 💛

AMAZING 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Izzat came highly recommended by a friend and wow it certainly did not disappoint. It’s casual , fine dining . Everything from the food to the staff to the atmosphere is first class. We first visited for brunch and then visited again for dinner . The salmon was seriously delicious, the steak sandwich with french dip was amazing. You just try the Brussel sprouts. We also had the eggs for brunch which were incredible. The chef came out to chat to us about the dishes he was so lovely . The staff are super friendly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough .

Don’t walk, run! The service was welcoming, and quick. The food was delicious. I would definitely come back here. Very surprised that there was not a wait considering how great the food is here. Highly recommend!

Accueil très sympathique et carte menu simple mais vous y trouverez de très bons plats et desserts : croque monsieur et madame excellents , crêpes sallées , pains perdus et crêpes sucrées (Sweet crêpes excellentes ) et des salades.
Nous sommes revenus plusieurs fois et le Staff nous accueillait comme à la maison. Il y a quelques tables à l'extérieur si vous le souhaitez.

We visited Izzat yesterday for breakfast and it was an absolute standout. I had the banana and cream crepe, which was perfectly made and genuinely one of the best I’ve had. Ava’s oats were delicious and comforting, and Lee’s avocado on toast alongside a banana and Nutella crepe was just as impressive. Every dish was spot on, fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared.

The service was equally excellent, friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. It really made the whole experience even better.

What makes Izzat even more of a gem is how it compares to other nearby spots. Just up the road, there was a huge queue outside Ruby Slipper, but honestly, you’re far better off heading straight to Izzat. No waiting around, and the food is on another level.

We actually tried Ruby Slipper the next day (even with a booking), and it was a completely different experience, long delays, we weren’t seated, and the hostess was quite rude. A stark contrast.

We enjoyed Izzat so much that we’ve already booked to go back for dinner, which says everything.

If you’re in New Orleans and want a fantastic breakfast without the hassle, Izzat is the place to go. Highly recommend.

An excellent alternative to Ruby Slipper. We had breakfast here and it was delicious, less processed and much tastier. The poached egg was perfect on the avocado toast, and the crepes were delicious. Also, the best coffee I’ve had in New Orleans. Also very friendly and attentive service- highly recommended!!

This restaurant is phenomenal. Delicious French cuisine. French dip was 10/10, crepes were spot on, and the variety of eggs Benedict were all fantastic. The service was excellent and the vibes were casual and warm. We will be back!

The salmon and fish were both very good. The plates did come out at different temperatures and the service was okay.

Izzat has become my new favorite restaurant! I love the omelets and the Eggs Sardou. The Croque Mademoiselle is a yummy vegetarian sandwich. My friend loved her mussels in white wine broth. Yummy fries! Vegetarian and gluten-free items are labeled on the menu. Great for brunch, lunch, or dinner! The service is friendly. I like the outdoor seating but inside is cute, too!

This is a small restaurant in the French Quarter that is known for its steak frites. We had breakfast with my wife ordering a crepe while I ordered oatmeal and a ham and egg sandwich on sourdough. All the dishes were tasty and arrived quickly. Their coffee is outstanding. Izzat is well worth a visit during your French Quarter stay.

Amazing place! We had dinner here and it was so good, quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommend the fries, grilled salmon, and the fish meueniere. Definetly recommend if you want a simple, quiet, solid resturant.

Wonderful place. Wonderful people. Absolutely WONDERFUL food! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed eating dinner at Izzat. We were just passing by and it caught our attention. The owner was there and was so kind and attentive as was our server. We ordered some local favorites, which are highlighted on the menu. And some apps. The French onion soup is no joke. One of the best we've ever tasted. Lots of bold flavors and the cheese! Wow. Followed by roasted brussel sprouts and a charcuterie board. All the flavors popped, and the portions were just right. The honey on the board was a nice touch and we poured it on pretty much everything. There were also dates! Great addition to the meats and cheeses. Highly recommend this! I finished it all off with the salmon plate with fresh asparagus, mashed potatoes, and a white wine sauce with capers that blew my mind. Absolutely delicious and a perfect 10 put of 10. I've eaten at 100's of seafood restaurants on the West coast that could not serve this dish any better. A wonderful experience for sure. You're really missing out on a great dining experience in NOLA if you pass this one up.

Salmon and Creme brulee were absolutely amazing! They have several GF and DF options as well.

After 10 days on the road, eating only BBQ and fried food with a notable absence of vegetables, dinner at Izzat was a real pleasure. Perfectly seasoned food, an abundance of well cooked vegetables and an attentive owner. I can honestly say that is restaurant is so far removed from the high salt, high fat and ‘same thing’ food that is most of the US South and you should search it out and enjoy.

My daughters love crepes, and absolutely loved the crepes at Izzat. Presentation, flavor, service and outdoor seating was all perfect. Short stay for us in New Orleans, but we would 100% recommend and will come back in the morning before we leave.

Came across this place when looking for a brunch spot, and it did not disappoint! We got the Nutella crepe and ham crepe, as well as mimosas, and everything was fabulous. Also a very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Izzat is a hidden gem on a quiet block in the quarter. The food is excellent and the team there is really putting their hearts into their work. I got the salmon which was perfectly cooked in a light creamy lemon sauce. I got the creme brulee for dessert and it was pure heaven and not small! The izzat absinthe drink is spectacular. I'll be going back for that often. It has a wonderful light flavor and none of the bitterness one usually gets in an absinthe cocktail.

Such a hidden gem. My family had an assortment of dishes from the steak frites to the monte cristo. My 6 year old ate her entire side salad which I couldn’t believe. The staff were so kind, even letting me charge my phone so it would be ready to capture the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Got iced out at a few other dinner spots around the corner and stumbled across this place on a Sunday night. Incredibly sweet server took care of us, great cafe vibes, and an INSANELY good French Dip that, quite frankly, has now permanenently ruined other iterations of the sandwich for me. The spinach artichoke dip was also delicious, and is a great starter. Highly recommended across the board, I will bee-line here the next time I'm in town.

Being in the tourist area, the food and service was not great.... But Izzat was diamond in the rough!

The people I was with ordered the lamb chops, steak frittes, chicken salad dish, roasted chicken, and a different sandwich dish and we all loved it!!

Services:
The place is an intimate restaurant, so I highly recommend making a reservation. But despite the close quarters, every person that worked there was so kind and helpful! The female server was so kind and helpful!

I would go back just for the service alone, but every dish that we tried was amazing!!

Pictures do not do this place justice, it was absolutely perfect. For the quality of food it was served in half the time expected, even with a moderate crowd. Food has better flavor and texture than majority of “high end” restaurants around here!

Came here for breakfast before heading over to the aquarium. This place is so amazing!!!! The food is crazy good. Ordered a crepe, eggs Benedict, omelette, and a latte. Everything was good, we ordered another crepe b/c it was that good. Not to mention the server was so sweet and personable.

Just had the most amazing dining experience I can remember. Not only was the food fantastic, the staff was just exceptional. A huge shout out to our server, Jari (sp?). By the end of the meal we felt like family. We are only here in New Orleans for a few days, but this is our spot and we will be going back.

My family and I spent the weekend in New Orleans. For brunch, we stumbled upon this local French restaurant which opened about 7 months ago. The service was impeccable! The waitress and the owner were so friendly and attentive! The environment was decadent as we sat outside and enjoyed the views, natural sounds and fresh air! The food was absolutely delicious! The cocktails were phenomenal! Much better than your average brunch restaurants! I would highly recommend Izzat! We will be back!

In a town with a lot of fried fish options, their salmon dish was a fresh delight. I loved the crispy asparagus, mashed potatoes, and especially, the cream sauce. It was my first time dining here, but I definitely want to come back to try their other dishes.

We stumbled across Izzat NOLA while looking for breakfast and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. They’ve only been open about seven months, but they’re already doing things right.

The place is small, cute, and welcoming, and we were seated immediately while many nearby spots had long waits. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.
I had the eggs Benedict and it was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs with rich hollandaise and great flavor. The menu also includes crepes, French omelets, croque monsieur, and pain perdu for breakfast and brunch.

They also serve lunch and dinner, with dishes like French onion soup, steak frites, mussels, and sandwiches.

Great food, great people, charming atmosphere, and no wait. A real hidden gem in New Orleans.

My friend and I only came in for a Crème brûlée and ended up ordering some grilled salmon which was PHENOMENAL beyond flavorful 1000/10 , i ordered the ham and cheese crêpe 1000/10 , it was my first time having one and it was AMAZING! The staff is wonderful and super friendly. The crème brûlée was also PHENOMENAL. I really recommend coming here if you want some tasty food and perfect service! We were looking around for a spot to eat lunch and happened upon this cute little place. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly. Several of our group god sandwiches (French Dip, Monte Cristo, Croque Monseiur) and one got a banana crepe, which was also great. The best part was the crème brûlée for dessert. It is made in house and the custard was so smooth! Definitely eating here again when we are back in New Orleans!

Izzat NOLA is the type of authentic French café I wish I had in my neighborhood. We enjoyed a breakfast of excellent lattes, a Croque Monsieur, and a Monte Cristo. Sadly this was our last meal in New Orleans. If we had tried it earlier in our trip I guarantee we would have been back for lunch or dinner or dessert (crepes!). The decor is bright and comfortable, the service was attentive, and the food was delicious.

What a fantastic experience at Izzat! A friend of a friend recommended, and boy are we glad we came! Some of the truly best French food we've had in many years - everything from the French onion soup and the moules frites (seriously had to restrain ourselves from licking the plate!) to the croque monsieur, French dip, and the steak frites was just absolutely fantastic! Quality bread also.

And the dessert crepe (strawberry and banana, big enough to share for four good eaters!) was off the charts good as well. Great coffee drinks as well, and they offer decaf. And good cocktails to boot!

We came by from due to the ruby slipper being full and man was that a brilliant idea. We ordered the French dip, eggs Benedict and a tomato sandwich on croissant. Split these between three people because we wanted to try everything. Absolutely delicious. And our server Elizabeth was a doll!

Ps- get the French dip, you won't be disappointed.

The food is AMAZING!! The French dip and monte cristo sandwich were amazing! Elizabeth was our server and she provided excellent service 🙂 highly recommend!

We tried the crepes and croque madame our first time here and were blown away. The food was fresh and the ambience was perfect. We liked it so much that we came back again the very next day and had the moules fritte - perfection. This restaurant is a must try!
